Kneel before Zell

So… Zell Miller is a Democrat for Bush.

I could try and come up with a joke about this. But it’s so god damn funny on its own that I’m not going to bother.

Especially when you read this speech on Miller’s senate website.

In his 16 years in the Senate, John Kerry has fought against government waste and worked hard to bring some accountability to Washington.

Early in his Senate career in 1986, John signed on to the Gramm-Rudman-Hollings Deficit Reduction Bill, and he fought for balanced budgets before it was considered politically correct for Democrats to do so.

John has worked to strengthen our military, reform public education, boost the economy and protect the environment. Business Week magazine named him one of the top pro-technology legislators and made him a member of its “Digital Dozen.

Hmmm… suddenly I have a craving for breakfast. Something belgian perhaps?

But then again, what do we expect… He’s a democrat.

That speech was pre-September 11. That was one of the big things that changed his mind on some things. There used to be lots of conservative Dems, but not anymore.

He’s not the only high profile Dem doing this; Ed Koch(very liberal on almost every issue) has endorsed Bush as well. Face it, the Dems are weak on national security. So they trot out a guy with some medals to make themselves look strong on defense. Kerry brought the whole Swiftee thing on himself. If you run on your war record, prepare to be scutinized on it. They’re suing to stop them, why not just release his war records? It would solve the whole thing. What’s he worried about? But I guess free speech doesn’t apply if you’re not a liberal, right?

It was also before the liberal wing of the democratic party took over. He’s a conservative on many issues, as he has to be to represent Georgia.

But I agree what the hell is he thinking saying John F’n Kerry strengthened the military? The only thing Kerry ever did to strengthen the military was to get out of it. He has voted against every piece of modern equipment that we use today. But he’s running on his record from a war that was more than 30 years ago. His Senate voting record tells me a lot more about what he would do as President than some home movies from Vietnam. Next thing you know we’ll find out his real name is Armin Tamzarian.

We may find out more about Sen F’n Kerry’s Vietnam experience, the Navy is investigating his precious medals that he threw away before he didn’t throw them away.

He could end the whole bloody thing if he would just release his military records. What is he afraid of? He was only there to bolster his future political aspirations, as evidenced by all of the recreated home movies, undeserved medals etc. He’s running on his war record, he’s hanging his hat on it. THe fact that almost everyone who served with him is on board against him(including Dems) should tell you something. I guarantee you almost every man on that boat was glad to see him go.

His numerous votes against the military tell me where he stands. His Senate voting record is staunchly anti-military. He wants to sound tough now that he is up for President. You don’t go from strong anti-military to pro-military overnight, but he flip-flops on everything else why not this too? Don’t worry though, the Senate voting record will be brought out in the debates. I wish the whole Swiftee thing would go away, let’s run on his voting record and the issues. But he and his staffers knew that his record was weak, there’s no way he could win a national election based on it. I’ve said it several times already, his Senate record tells us a great deal more about that he would do as President than what he did in a war over 30 years ago.
